,Alas, my idealised abstractions, designed to fit into a perfect world, often found themselves in uneasy juxtaposition with mundane reality in the form of lightswitches, skirting boards, carpets of an unfortunate colour or design, and other concomitants of the domestic environment. So I created perfect spaces in which my perfectly finished and idealised abstractions could dwell uncorrupt. Some of these boxes or frames were designed to go round corners, as in this example.
