While clearly a skydiver with his parachute beginning to deploy [Pendulum] has prominent abstract qualities. The figure is more generalised and symmetrical, and the shape of the canvas has its own agenda, creating a paradox between it and the image painted on it. It is well on the way to complete abstraction.
